  Prototype Making  
  - CNC machined prototypes and Injection molded prototypes

At Edge Engineering we provide wide range of prototype making solutions which are low cost, accurate and tough. We use production intended materials for making prototypes to give real life feel of product to our customers. These prototypes are accurate in dimensions and can be put into real life application tests like the real production items.

CNC Machined Prototypes:
wider selection of material like ABS, Acrylic (clear), Delrin, Nylon, Polycarbonate, Soft Metals, Wax, Wood, etc. Part can be made in production intended material for better design evaluation.
accurate parts made at less cost
thin solid walls of around 1/16" can be made
parts produced have smooth surface finish (good for presentation) and better mechanical strength (good for engineering analysis and testing)

 
 
no part shrinkage or warping issues
prototypes can be painted and printed.
Injection Molded Prototypes:
At Edge Engineering we also make prototypes by Rapid Injection Molding technology. Prototypes made by our Rapid Injection Molds are as good as by a real production molds the only difference is that these molds are made fast. We typically cut the lead time for mold making to one-third of conventional methods. Cost saving varies with the number of parts being produced, but Rapid Injection Molding may also have a substantial cost advantage in runs of up to thousand parts. The Rapid Injection Molding process gives design engineers a fast and affordable way to get real injection molded parts in prototype or low-volume quantities.
